I have grown up some.  I have learned that people smile with a knife behind their back.  Fake smiles disquised as true friendship. So many promises that ended into a labyrinth of emptiness and monsters.

Systemic lupus erythematosus often abbreviated to SLE or lupus, is a systemic autoimmune disease (or autoimmune connective tissue disease) that can affect any part of the body. As occurs in other autoimmune diseases, the immune system attacks the body's cells and tissue, resulting in inflammation and tissue damage. It is a Type III hypersensitivity reaction caused by antibody-immune complex formation.

Most people remember this illness as the reason Michael Jackson’s plastic surgery went wrong, few people know of the constant pain and struggle of a person living with this illness, they only see the scaring in the face and body of those brave enough  to be seen in public,

The misinformation about this illness might be as painful as the inflammation in the joints and tissue that is disintegrating because the body’s own immune system is attacking it.

To walk in a supermarket with the visible signs of Lupus and having parents yank their children away from you because you are weird, strange, broken scared, to visibly be shunned in fear of “catching” this illness few people are educated about.

Tania Gous is a normal mother, home bound due to Systemic  Lupus, mother of two wonderful busy boys, wife to a hardworking husband Jaco , but she has always lived in this wonder world of words, writing them, creating them, seeing emotions and happenings in her own mind drawings,… from writing small bits of these picture thoughts into words in her mind, grew a short story that spoke to her and from there grew a chapter and another chapter and months later Beautiful Deception - Book One - Al Soch du Nicht  was born.

The general acceptance of the pieces seen by the book by the public was great and within a month of creating a website for the book more than 4000 online visits were made to the page.

The book was launched in e –format by smash words and soon reached their premium list with rave reviews and over 450 peek downloads.

Then came the jungle of publishing it, and this jungle was crossed by the sheer tenacity of the group around Tania, that became the little publishing house, S & G Publishing and Promotions, with the wonderful assistance of many people that understand the art of design, print and books, Tania’s book, Beautiful Deception has now officially came of the press to be launched at a start studded event on the 5^th of May at HAP House in Pretoria at a cheese and wine function!

While everyone was working in haste and crossing learning curve after learning curve getting into the swing of “how to”, how to build a website, how to edit a book for e-publishing, how to design a front page so it is printing friendly, how to get a barcode and an ISB number, Tania was knee deep into the second book of Beautiful Deception- All Soch du Mear, feeling new worlds and tales flow from her soul to her keyboard.

While taking a much needed hour from writing the second book Tania relaxed writing something light and fun in Afrikaans,……… the birth of Parys in Pretoria,…………….. she posted a chapter of the book that is based on the life of Johanna, a  young woman living in Pretoria that is due to her friendship with the old lady next door getting to hear and then experience tales of great south African traditional figures and hero’s .  The posting of the chapter of Rachel, the story of Rachel De Beer caused an outcry in the Afrikaans community for more and Johan Piek  the singer came aboard the S & G boat and made a recording of the story for Afrikaans Radio, and also for the visually impaired!  Once again new skills had to be acquired and once again Tania’s husband Jaco jumped in to learn to be a sound engineer,   to  polish and hone the recording of a wonderful voice  and the story by Tania that rips you into the reality of a child saving her brother in a snow storm into another masterpiece!

Daily Tania is showing the world the unseen face of Lupus might cause people in the street to warn their children to stay away “because she is one of THOSE people” but her stories in voices from the Afrikaner past, and word images of the fantasy meets emotion, meets the books of the Bible, will flow through peoples minds for ever more!

Maybe just maybe now the unseen face of Tania Gous will be seen and understood and other might see her as I see her, the woman broken on the outside, the woman with only one functioning  kidney, the woman with aching joints and bleeding scars, the woman behind the mask, that can bring to life words and emotions and dreams

 “There comes a time in the life of all, when all that you believed and, trusted in, when all emotions you thought you knew come to naught. The day will come it surely will when Darkness comes knocking at your door. It does not look much like anything though; it definitely does not look like evil.
It portrays itself as harmless; it smiles with a trust in its eyes that captivates the heart of the broken. Common Sense will whisper in your ear to not let it in, but Doubt will put its foot in the door, making you want to listen and learn more.
It is then in that moment of weakness when all you want to do is give up, give in, that you dare to listen to the honey- covered words it speaks. It is when you are watching all that you have known or believed yourself to be being dragged down in a swirl of grey and the awful sound that silence makes. When you look at your image in the window and staring back at you is the void your identity laid in.
The soothing chants and whispers of Doubt will cloud your mind and make you believe that none of what you have been taught is real. He makes you believe and then doubt that belief at the same moment. Negative and Positive storm at you, take names and faces and wage war over what you once held dear and sacred. God fades into an old book and witches come alive from another. White now has shades of black, and in black there is no redemption.
It is then at that very moment, the moment you will not exactly remember, when you look around for something to grasp onto, to hold onto, so you can save yourself from falling. But looking around you will find only empty eyes, showing no interest or clicking their tongues in pity at the pretty young girl, lost in self pity. They cannot see what I see, or hear the voices screaming at me. They feel not the hurt burning me like acid, with no relief from it.

So the 5th of May approaches steadily, Father Time gives no leeway.

I need to look spectacular on this day and am clueless as what to wear, so dress me up and play doll.

Who knew that it is easier to create worlds and funny creatures, with monsters and demons, but to put together an outfit would be such a nightmare.

I have read books written by the most famous authors,I have read books with new and fascinating creatures,different beautiful worlds,amazing characters,and words that describe great feelings,but I have never read a book that makes you part of dreams and fatasies and worlds you could never have thought of,with words that tickle your tong and slides over and through your imagination like the most beautiful soft silk...I have never read a book that I can simply just not put down for any reason because of whats inside it became reality in my life.It is not just a story its also a guide to an amazing journey,its asif I became one with each and every character,and I cannot wait for the next chapter in their worlds.Beautiful Deception is the best book I have ever read and heard of and I think you as author are amazing when it comes to creating a story,a new world,or even make a bad emotion look and sound so beautful and the great emotions seem even better...You have the power to change peoples world with words and just became my new hero! Reading Beautiful Deception

It is more than a story, it is a journey into creativity and opening my mind finding long sought solutions.
I bought this book after already knowing it somewhat,so I was in an unfair advantage to the normal buyer, still reading it is like stepping into a world I once knew , never before! suddenly dead ideas that are centuries old becomes alive, what seems to be the difference in onion out becomes the golden ribbon in Tania's words that bind it all together, for the first time in my life my awkward way of thinking now makes perfect sense! The Author Tania Gous takes me on a journey of not only discovering her wonder world but also my own,....... I am lost within, crying because the pages has come to an end,
To all out there that thinks this is another fantasy genre make believe novel,.. it isn't, it is the understanding of the mystery within, your world, your perception your believes will be so much poorer without these dreams forever edged into your mind!

Reading Beautiful Deception took my mind to unknown places. The way the author leads my into the word pictures is in a Harry Potter style and yet beyond it. She puts me in the shoes of Nina, Krokkie and into the luxury of the Manor, loving every second of it.
